최수란은 이성적 사고를 내려놓고 스스로의 감정과 몸의 감각에, 나아가 자연에 온전히 나를 맡기는 즉흥성에 기대는 작업을 시도하였으며, 타자를 끌어들여 타자와의 교감을 통해 작업을 완성시키는 새로운 퍼포먼스, 설치, 영상 등을 제시했다. 이러한 전환은 이성 중심의 근대적 세계관에 도전하는, 포용과 교감에 기반한 자연과 타자에 대한 ‘여성적’ 태도와 연결된다.
Choi Soo-ran has explored work that relies on surrendering rational thought to embrace her own emotions, bodily sensations, and, ultimately, nature through spontaneity. Her approach involves creating new forms of performance, installation, and video that engage others and complete the work through interaction and communion. This shift connects with a 'feminine' attitude towards nature and the other, challenging the rational-centric modern worldview by emphasizing inclusivity and empathy.
